This summer, with Marios, Sanja, and Daniele, I explored the types of job tasks impacted by disruptive AI technologies and their relationship to the potential for automation and augmentation. During the internship, I learned how to conduct research systematically by starting with clear plans and communicating progress effectively in concise meetings.

During the summer, I worked on collecting the views of members of the US public about AI. The paper was submitted to one of the top conferences in my field. With the feedback received throughout the summer, I developed a better critical sense of my work and how to be more intentional when writing academic texts. Thanks to the support and guidance of my mentors, we managed to achieve the goals we initially established. It is also worth noting that Cambridge is a very charming city :)
University of Cambridge, UK | Ukraine
My internship with the Responsible AI team at Bell Labs was an incredible learning experience, allowing me to improve valuable skills like concise communication while working on Responsible Constitutional AI. My mentors, Adam and Edyta, were both experts in their fields and incredibly supportive. The team's friendly atmosphere and innovative interdisciplinary approach made the numerous challenges feel inspiring and rewarding.

My summer internship at Bell Labs was an invaluable learning experience. I worked on effectively reporting risks associated with increasingly pervasive AI models. The internship sharpened my ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines and translate ideas into credible outcomes within a short timeframe. Collaborating with my mentors was highly rewarding, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cambridge, both in the office and outside of work.
We welcome applications from outstanding PhD students and scholars to join us in 2025 as summer interns, self-funded visitors or project collaborators.
