HeartBees: Visualizing Crowd Affects
There are eight emotions – four complementary pairs – considered to be primary in the evolution of the humans and other animals:
joy – sadness
trust – disgust
surprise – anticipation
anger – fear
We are presenting a series of visualizations to express each of primary emotions using patterns of synchrony found in nature. We simulted the patterns with Boids and you may imagine the traveling lights to be birds flocking or fish schooling. Feel free to explore different emotions and experiment with changing the behaviours as well as the time, temperature of the digital envrionment.
